Another reason why Pitchfork is genuinely trash
For real site used to be alright to good for finding new niche music but it's been utter trash since at least the start of SoundCloud rap
And they will raise your rates for reporting an incident. That wasn't your fault. Getting cucked by an extortion racket
Dictatorship of the Bourgeoisie
I will be honest
I save every end of year playlist they release and find tons of new amazing music
I haven't looked at the site in a very long time but I roll my eyes at all the terrible scores I always see posted
To be fair, we are conditioned to accept the system from like 5 years old. Multiple decades of brainwashing are hard to overcome. Most people just drudge along in acceptance

Pitchfork's scores are totally meaningless. They range from like 5.5 to 8.5 instead of using the whole scale and are focus grouped to oblivion because they're corporate shills. They're always behind on interesting new acts and play it as safe as possible. A "negative" review (6.0~) usually is more about making a statement on the artist than the album itself.
Alphonse also writes like he's s***posting on KTT but with a thesaurus in one hand.
Everytimw ktt doesn't like a review they want some weird change like this. Like my man review sites have been around longer than you did in your dad's nutsack. Ain't change coming just cause some rapper you like got a bad score.
You act like I'm saying this just because of this review when it's beneficial in general
Cardi B's IoP got .1 more than Isolation by Kali Uchis. Two releases by female artists on the same day and one just happens to get literally the smallest possible score higher, that was something I always felt was cap. A change like that would only increase the legitimacy of their scores
Think next time before replying to me with some dumbass bullshit like this. You out here d***riding a publication
I only really use rateyourmusic these days to see the reception of new albums in real time.
Rather that than all of these known publications with ulterior motives.
It's the best place to discover new music imo.

Oh don't get me wrong I agree man
you’re a summrs stan u idiot
real music man
Do you think that Travis's lack of overt Texan influence in his music diminishes it in terms of raw quality?
No it’s not something I would’ve used as a criticism of Utopia
Would much rather have Pierre over some white bushwick hipster thats overly pretentious about trap music because they’ve been listening to Gucci since 2010
