Alshon was brought in to be the number one receiver, and he made good on his end. 12 TDs in the super bowl year, and the best catch in eagles history given the context, the other arguably being Clements catch from the same game.

Wentz was brought in to be the franchise QB for a decade+. That did not happen, and he didn’t make good on his end of the deal. Thanks to him for the 10.5 wins he contributed to that season. If he doesn’t get hurt he’d probably still be the QB here, and we’d still be without a championship because we’re not winning that year with him. That was a magical season, and without everything happening exactly as it happened, we don’t win.

My feelings on Wentz are already documented in this thread, and that’s how I’ll remember him. Not positively as a whole.
