fantastic game. really think people are missing out if they haven't played it. arguably has a better story & music than base p5

I thought it was good as far as jrpg stories go, the music though? That s*** is godlike, personally i prefer the tracks from base p5 over P5R so that’s why i think it’s so godlike. 5s has great music too but it’s not a competition imo

to be fair, having a good jrpg story isn't a particularly high bar to reach. though it could very well be recency bias. that + me conflating shido being a terrible main villain with the rest of the story, bringing it down a bit. would say just about everything else is a bit better than p5s though. konoe is just so much better of a villain than shido, though you could argue he's just a maruki clone.

It really shoots for way less but it executes it better

I imagine it’s gonna be very polarizing for anyone trying to play Golden now, with a decade (insane it’s been that long) of praise heaped behind it and it being old as hell. You’re either gonna think it’s the third coming or woefully underwhelming
