tl;dr battles are more focused on knocking enemies down quickly using weaknesses instead of bringing their health all the way down to zero. plus the real world stuff helps break up the monotony, with the confidants giving you abilities that can massively help (baton pass, the ability to go out at night after entering the metaverse, better guns, medical supplies, etc.)

there's way definitely more to what makes persona 5 great tho but i'd be here all day talking about it so just watch video and you'll get a good understanding

I didn’t like turn based RPGs minus Pokémon before playing Persona 5, and here I am copping this on Day 1 again.
