Same, after playing persona 4 it just doesn't compare, it's lowkey frustrating cause ive heard it has arguably the best story in the series but to continue you have to go through the dungeon

Stick with it fam, the story and character development is so good. Tartarus is very same-y but doing Elizabeth’s requests and just getting as far as I could on one day instead of spreading it out made it more bearable.

Persona 3 and Persona 4 are such GOAT games

I have beated Persona 3 three times and Persona 4 two and the games don't lose the charm

But nothing like the first time Learning the game, being invested in the history and the characters, being surprised by the twists, hearing the great ost

The games are really great experiences

Persona might be the only one where I wish I spread out grinding. It was a very bad balance b/t dungeon and non-dungeon related content. Like they didn't account for if you were overleveled at all.

plus no reason to ever go back in a dungeon after you finish, unless you do something like craft weapons. even rescue missions could just all be saved for the last day for a boss if you wanted

I used to think of myself as a P4 lover and stan, but there's definitely some better version of the archetypes in there on other games. Ann is better than Rise, Goro is better than Naoto. Yukari or Makoto is better than Yukiko.

I think what makes P4G's cast so good is that they as a sum are so f***ing good. Like individually, you could contend that they're the least nuanced characters out of the big 3. And Yu definitely doesn't break that trend when compared to Joker or Minato. But their f***ing chemistry bro

yeah, i can agree with the p4 cast as a whole being 10/10. i like 5's more, but 4's definitely has such a great chemistry with one another. they definitely feel like really good friends rather than just a group of teenagers trying to do ____.
