Aigis top 1 character in this series, always loved that the 'fin' in p3 screen was of just her
Feel like I might be the only person who doesn’t love p5r. And for context I’m almost to the 3rd palace
I think it’s cool but not like top 5 game oat or anything like that
I only played standard Persona 5 but I feel like it's slightly overrated
I'd give it about an 8. Still a great game but not GOTY tier
Combat, visuals and music are all great. My main complaint is the plot and they really pad out the game with unnecessary dialogue and repeated cutscenes. Like I was pressing that fast forward button every few seconds because every character in the group has to sigh as a reaction in their conversations. I have to watch Joker going to bed and opening his eyes in the velvet room every single time
I like how the game has actual real life psychology concepts but the writers just do whatever they want and explain it away with terms like "metaverse", "cognition"
Don't want to spoil because you're only on the third palace, but there's some actual bullshit that doesn't make sense in the second half of the game imo
Also that Morgana plot goes nowhere

I definitely don’t hate it I’m just trying to understand the disconnect between my enjoyment and others, and if it’s worth sticking out
My thoughts on this, long but it's late and not shortening it up
Persona 5 Royal on a gaming aspect was incredible, but it missed the comraderie of P4 cast staying together and helping one another. Also going through goofy trips and creating memories shared together.
Not that it's necessary, as Persona 3 cast worked together under one mission and this brought them to be closer as they worked towards their goal, and shedding light on their past that might have been ma ufactured or even caused by a third party and challenges what they initially thought.
Persona 5 was outcasts coming together for a group project ever so often and getting s*** done.
But that gets overlooked for the huge stylish changes and quality of life upgrades over the past persona games, combined with real world implications for exploration.
What saves Persona 5 for me, and Royale to an extent, are 2 characters, who I won't say cause I don't know how to spoiler but are heavily focused on in the last arc for persona 5 Royale.
I would want Persona 6 to focus on the group, and said group bonding together and sharing quiet moments away from the bombastic fights. Part of the charm for shows, Animes or even sports, is watching these individuals undergo some arc or story that keeps evolving.
Persona 5 cast stopped before it even got started, remaining as caricatures or having instances that enhanced their characterization.

I say finish it if you enjoy the gameplay and actually want to see how the story ends. But I'll never play it again and it's not an essential experience imo. I'd recommend GoW 2018, RDR2 and Bloodborne (if they can handle the difficulty) to everyone. Games like Persona 5, Shadow of the Colossus and Yakuza 0 - not really. They're more niche
Also bear in mind that it's a heavy time commitment. My P5 playthrough took me around 80 hours

just texted Soejima he said that was all the work he's doing for the year. It was an either or situation
Having never played P3P before (FES is probably my favourite Persona game), i was kinda expecting it to be trash the ppl rag on it but I actually like it a lot
quick loading times and everything being streamlined a lot for a portable platform make it a fun lil time waster. You get into a good rhythm kinda easily. Lack of the anime stuff isn't huge imo but the replacement scenes do look trash unfortunately
5R true ending got me hot asf
That’s all I got to say. There were some pretty good moments in the game though
Edit: the actual ending was really nice tho
