Hey fam quick q, my gaming laptop doesn’t have a disc drive, but I got this PC disk that I’d love to play on it. Would I be able to attach a disk drive to the laptop via USB & play it that way? Example, like an optical drive

So if I get a DVD/CD disk reader USB attacher for my laptop, run a pc game on it (example Doom Eternal), could I download the game onto my laptop or would I be required to put in the Disk reader USB into the laptop whenevver I wanna play the game?

Cuz rn my situation is, Best Buys got Doom Eternal PC disk on sale (I’m tryna cop), my gaming laptop ain’t got a disk drive (so imma have to use a USB attachment CD drive), but will I have to keep attaching the USB CD drive and inserting the disk every time I wanna play, OR can it download the game onto my laptop.
