Checkout that discord link I put on the last page. There have been a bunch of CPU/RAM combos and prebuilds posted the last few days. It’s still possible to get good deals but the window is closing.

And HBD hopefully it got better

ngl bro i slipped down my stairs today because of ice it’s been a very interesting birthday LMAOO and i’ll definitely check that out

also thought on this pre built i know it’s a bit expensive but tbh it having a 5080 is what’s pushing me towards it bestbuy.com/product/ibuypower-y40-pro-gaming-desktop-pc-amd-ryzen-9-7900x-nvidia-geforce-rtx-5080-16gb-32gb-ddr5-rgb2tb-nvme-ssd-black/J3R75JYYRS

    case kinda ugly imo

yeah it’s pretty ugly main reason i looked for a different one
even the one i jsur posted i don’t like the case but its better
even though im having this problem with current pc the case is amazing and airflow is insane

Only downsides are the CPU and AIO (Ibuypower aio’s suck and fail all the time). CPU would hold back a 5080 a decent amount, but atp it’s whatever you can get. It wouldn’t be super bottlenecked.

Price is a pretty high, especially for not having a X3D cpu, but it’s not terrible in this market. Getting 32gb ram and a 2tb ssd is a nice plus.

Personally id keep looking around until the end of the month. Like I said there are still some good deals occasionally posted, but they’re drying up.

If you’re down to build a pc there are CPU/RAM deals like this

    newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails?ItemList=Combo.4852625
    $394.

If you’re willing to go AMD and can find a 9070xt for MSRP, which isn’t hard, you could get a really powerful pc for around 1300/1400. WOOT have been selling tons of $100ish AM5 motherboards recently too.

you can do it man. I built my first pc last year and the only hard part was plugging the cords in the motherboard and wire management. It is scary tho lol

Just gotta go slow and follow a guide, even better if you have a friend to help. It took me 4 hours to build my first one because I was being super cautious with everything

Worst comes to worst if something breaks while building, you start a return and tell them it showed up like that

Performance isn’t that far off non oc and you can overlock it to get within single digit differences. Same amount of VRAM. Overall very powerful and if you don’t want to pay the crazy 50 series premiums it’s easily the choice. Plus that 9800x3d will get you much higher frames over the 7900x in cpu bound games.

But you lose out on DLSS, Frame Gen, Reflex, RTX HDR, etc… depends on how much you use those. FSR 4 is great afaik after the last few updates. And fluid frames or whatever they call it now is getting better, but I’d still probably use something like lossless scaling over what AMD offer.

iveveen watching stuff about the amd gpu and man im actually starting to lean towards it especially because the pricing is a bit better

still gonna watch a bit more really don’t know what i want my budget to be but i definitely wanna save as much as i can

i’m for sure sticking with amd cpu though

FSR4 an improvement on the previous versions
But they are trash for not allowing it to run the older GPUs
DLSS 4.5 uses the extra hardware on the 40 & 50 series but Nvidia still let it run on the 20 & 30 series
The leaked build of FSR4 proved AMD could run it on their older GPUs but are choosing not to, shameful

  • actually i can replace the motherboard and cpu fan and it should solve the lenovo problem

gonna do that for now and just buy upgrades now since i’m in that mood for a upgrade
