it’s not much of an upgrade from my current
i got a 3060 12 gb his is a 3070 ti 8gb
Hmm prob would notice minor upgrades, but not worth if they were selling it for a high price.
Currently building my first proper gaming pc
Its a ryzen 5 9600x worth the 45 dollar difference agaisnt the 7600x?
Seen that u basically the same performance but that the 9600x heats less, better energy wise and more efficent
Better efficiency is always the way to go and it’s a big jump from the 7000->9000. 7600x isn’t bad but it can easily reach around 80c, even with a good cooler.
Depends on how much you care about fan noise/heat. Worth it for only $45 imo
Really wish I went with something more efficient. My 14600k reaches 144w under load, feels like a space heater if I play something like Battlefield for a few hours.
In Florida, with a room that faces the sun
RAM prices stopped any hope I had of switching to AM5
Man I remember like 2-3 years ago ram was relatively cheap? Did the prices spike due to tariffs?

Like I always recall ram being an easy upgrade due to price and functionality. Plus ease of installing.

Went up around the start of October
A 32 GB CL 30 DDR5 kit was 89.99 on average, now around $320+
AI companies are pillaging the market

AI data centers buying up all the stock made the price surge

Considering prebuilt at this point might be a better deal than picking parts. Built the same specs on pcpartpicker and it was over $1800
Not sure if the prebuilt has a cooler included though, and brand/quality of the individual parts doesn’t seem to have info available
Edit: this also seems like a solid deal costplusgaming.com/products/m1-flow-eco-tier?variant=51702015459602

These ram prices

Im stuck with my s*** cpu because of these ram prices, feel like the Bugatti in the trailer park meme with my 5090

5070 is getting sold - 5070 ti is being returned. And there’s a 4060 in the 5070 box I need to get rid of
