Gf didn't know I dropped in the cinema
she looked like Alana pissed off white knuckling home when she found out she had to drive
But yeah that was a unique kind of tension with the unnatural quiet of a gas-deprived city. The phone call too :shh:

Which phone call? Been a minute since I’ve seen this
It’s amazing how the Asian accent gets so much notoriety but the scene where the Jewish character’s nose is constantly being made fun of gets no attention
Hope Cooper has a big future ahead. Rooting for him and Gandolfini Jr
Bro him and Gandolfinis kid did their thing in their movies regardless of critical reception
Bruh that scene where she’s sitting on the curb feeling lost is so real if you’ve ever been at that point in life

Yeah that also had me
guess he was trying to show the casual racism of the time but

Would've been a different movie of a Scientologist passed her by at that moment instead of Safdie :elon:
I think Gary is a kid who never lives in the moment. When you’re a businessman/hustler you always have goals of something bigger but you keep moving your goals further and further and never reach that ending happiness. To a young guy like Gary, a logical “victory” or end-goal with a girl is just to have s***but Gary can’t have s***with Alana because of the age stuff so he’s forced to find his joy and fulfillment in their little platonic moments. I think the movie is just about living in the moment and appreciating the things right in front of you while you have them because “tomorrow might not be your day” (the credits song).
Yeah that also had me

Imma be honest I thought all that was necessary. People be romanticizing that era and I feel like PTA going “hey that time was pretty dope but still s*** was still kinda terrible”

Popped right before the larry hoover concert in imax
Loved the soundtrack, these two were my favorites.
!https://youtu.be/6lnoM25D-js!https://youtu.be/kWFehaQEMYILet me roll it is soooo raw. Has such a unique and intense vibe that I will always attribute to the scene this film used it in

I’ve seen the movie twice in theatres just saw it again the other day
And the moment when Bradley Cooper’s car breaks down and he pops up on screen and jumps in the van made my audience gasp loudly both times
Such a tense sequence lmfao
