Word man I notice you all about watching filmmakers progress rather than just jumping into they opus
I used to jump into the opus (with music too) but found working your way toward it infinitely more satisfying. Also assuming the opus is a big challenging masterpiece then working your way toward it helps you understand how they got there and what you're even watching. Me anyway.

Yessir words spoken from the mastermind Elric
"Wow, I hate literally everything about this. It is as bad as Phantom Thread is good.
There is not a single positive aspect I can find here. The musical cues are embarrassingly obvious and uninspired, the dialogue relies purely on eye rolling MCU quip affluence rather than trying to sound anything like real people, the characters are obnoxious, one dimensional and performed by actors more interested in trying to win awards (which I'm sure they will) than actually exploring human beings and Paul Thomas Anderson's slow and painstaking direction instead comes across as lethargic and dull in a story this utterly weightless. I still can't believe PTA is responsible for this artistic used diaper, it's written and acted like Joss Whedon's senior project student film, only without the misguided passion.
If this wins Oscars in the strongest year for film since 2014, we need to f***ing burn down the Academy. Burn it all, there is clearly no need for it anymore. Given that Mary Elizabeth Ellis has a minor role in this, the only way it can actually be watchable is if I watch it as an Ecstacy hallucination from when The Waitress was visiting the Jersey Shore."
This a negative review from a contrarian I follow on letterboxd who gave Halloween 6 a 5 star rating

Nah but seriously a film festival meet up would be dope. Like Cannes or Sundance
Paul is making a lot of statements in this. There is no other filmmaker alive under 60 who knows how to make use of a scene better than Paul.
Licorice Pizza is reducing its wide release? Y’all hear about this?
I just saw a thread in r/movies and all the comments are f***ing cancer. All the promotion is not translating to general audiences.

ah i think to put their perspective maybe PTA's wishes. this weekend release seems stacked like Spiderman and The Matrix filling up and they know they might make less money I guess.
