A ★★★★★ review of Licorice Pizza by eddie on Letterboxd boxd.it/2hy5oJ
Precisely two events feel like Christmas to me.
New Ye album, and new PTA film.

I would add new Mario/Zelda game to that very short list

I’m not a gamer and I’m always embarrassed of that. Mario and Zelda are fun tho.
Yeah I'm gonna love this.
Alana lookin like a snack. A director who don’t miss.
I don’t see any reality in which this isn’t film of the year.

For me it’s new Ye album. New Tarantino movie. New Scorsese. And new PTA.
Getting good reviews on LB
“ LICORICE PIZZA is Paul Thomas Anderson’s lightest & joyous film he’s made in some time, maybe even ever. Sweet, hilarious & made with so much love & care. The various celebrity one-scene cameos are fun but Cooper Hoffman & Alana Haim steal the show and our hearts with their incredible chemistry. Two magnetic & revelatory performances that you can’t take your eyes off of.”
“ JUST LEFT THE THEATER AND I CAN’T STOP SMILING I WANT TO RUN THRU THE STREETS & CRY. I JUST FEEL SO HAPPY. I HAVEN’T WANTED TO FALL IN LOVE THIS BADLY SINCE PUNCH-DRUNK LOVE. I WISH I CLD DRINK THIS FILM AND SOAK IN IT’S REFRESHING SUMMER BLISS AND DELICIOUS SUNSHINE. PURE SEROTONIN. I’M IN LOVE.”
Are there any Bay Area theaters doing the nov 26 limited release?
they could add more this week. New York went from having one theater showing Licorice Pizza to three now. Hopefully the SF fam can get a limited release

not a bad list.
Bruh we really gettin a light hearted high school story from PTA
this don't feel real for some reason lmao I'm hype
So American Graffiti is actually good?
yeah bruh it's a really good coming of age / high school movie and it doesn't ever feel like it's trying to be over dramatic imo.
Really just takes you back to that time period and makes you feel like you were there even if you never experienced it yourself

Nice, I always wanted to check it out because of George Lucas and young Harrison Ford, but wasn't sure if it was actually worth it or not.

nah it's really dope. That's why I'm hype that PTA is taking influence from it. I feel like hella coming of age stories have been super dramatic as of late and don't properly convey the chaos of being a teenager

Everybody Wants Some was a good one I liked recently.

you'd probably dig Ameircan Graffiti then. Those movies alongside Dazed and Confused all remind me of each other
TERRIBLE name for a movie. don't care how it relates to the story (if it even does at all) that title is gonna turn ppl off instantly
