Oh yea I forgot he’s not allowed to do anything besides make music

I rate PM but he took 3 years off music then dropped basic ass structured songs like Turn Up which had the same verse twice...and he didn’t even produce on there so you’d think he’d be more dedicated to the vocals/verses

maybe lazys the wrong word but he def ain’t as motivated or dedicated as he used to be

  • Jun 19, 2020

he’s about to be 27, wrote some of the biggest songs of the decade, changed r&b

I guarantee you this man made hundreds if not thousands of songs. Don’t disregard things as lazy simply because it goes against the norm. That’s lazy.

I love to see the Party hate on his tweets tbh. I liked PM but hopefully that gives him a sign to go back to producing

I'd rather a solid cohesive album than hundreds of basic ass songs

If P3 ended up being more pop then I think this could have def happened

no. party would have never been a pop star. he doesn't have the personality and it seems his voice isn't accessible to the mainstream audience unless its covered in auto tune and effects like on p2.
Realistically Party would be at his biggest if he continued on the P2 wave. P2 dropped in 2014, Basically just when physical media was on its death bed and streaming just really started to be a thing. Party's prime missed on the streaming era. He would have been king of the spotify r&b playlist. He went ghost and let Bryson, Tory & 6lack take his wave from him and banked off it during the start of the streaming era. The only era where Party's type of R&B could do numbers.

Party came back with come and see me (probably his biggest single in longevity) and it got love then he dropped bullshit like not nice that only did well because it was a popular sound but even then no one was REALLY feeling it like that. This isn't going to work. Why party keeps trying these bullshit cross over singles is beyond me and I know its not because he think its good because a lot of his crossover s*** is garbage.

those crossover singles s*** is so boring and forced

whoever said when he changes from partyomo to partynextdoor, nothing will be the same and they were right.

it's crazy that he didnt become a superstar as he's been in the industry since he was like 16 but then I guess that jus the way it goes. he made some poor decisions taking two, 2 year breaks between projects f***ed it up and everyone got so attached with his first two projects.

if he released a project in 2015 (party@8) and then club Atlantis in 2016. there could have been real progression as an artist. this is just a hypothetical, but it's nice to look back of what could've been. also very sad.

but for whatever reason s*** didn't go down like that. from what we have seen and heard party is a bit of a d*** and f***s people around a lot especially when working with others, with two Collab projects scrapped, there's a common denominator why that s*** happens

theres a lot of what ifs for partys career, it is what it is. He has given us so many classics and we gotta appreciate that. There is all at least one song for us, and sometimes that is enough. We had plenty of leaks. The thing with party is he releases good music whether it be leaks, loosies or officials. He will never blow up or if he does it will be very unlikely. It is just the way his career is. He is absurdly talented and we can't take take that away. He is a once in a generation artist without the commercial touch.

If party is dropping music he loves then that just means he has inspiration to do more, and I am sure we all want more party

Also he has a really weird idea of quality control. He refused to release the TM88 project but thinks making a project in seven days and releasing it is a good idea.

So he’s like meticulous with his music and very particular about what he releases but then you see some of the music he’s released and some of the music he’s vaulted and it makes no f***ing sense.
