“Came back to the world, different girl” wonder if that’ll be the caption
bro what
I have this theory Partymobile got (critically) hated on because it's an album about the conflicted internal proces of cheating on your SO. Which hardly works in current mainstream music. (worked back in the early 2000s - forget about it in the 2020s)
at least that's the reason I sadly connected with this record.
The News, Split Decision, Savage Anthem hit that empty part of my soul.
goodbye clouds of grey 😢🌧️

this makes no sense, everyone loves 'toxic' music, especially r&b
it got hated on because party didn't drop for over 2 years and people had huge expectations

I see where you’re coming from, but it doesn’t help that most of party’s album cuts are hard listens at first or whatever the term is. Plus that album came out prime covid lockdown so people weren’t outside hearing that s*** at clubs and stuff.
Playboy from Tory Lanez is a prime example that toxic R&B has its place and people rn are eating that s*** up (me included, that’s one of my favorite albums rn).
Mobile just doesn’t have that mainstream easy listen appeal
I can't wait until he announces the next title. Like what is he gonna give us after PARTYMOBILE
And to be fair, none of party’s projects have ever had that. There’s always a sense of rawness in his music. Even what I would consider his most polished and “clean cut” project, Colours 2, has for example his Young Thug inspired singing/rapping flow that might turn a lot of listeners away
