  • Clockworks first two will be a Sean Baker and a PCW they’re cooking

  • The movie will follow a sheriff and a doctor who seek revenge against a group of bandits who use the cover of a torrential thunderstorm to rob and terrorize the occupants of a small town. The story will alight on themes central to Park’s oeuvre of vengeance, retribution, the consequences of violence and the power of memory and family, but this time in the American West.

I know this project/script has been off and on production for 10 years but as someone who missed all that stuff, the idea of a Park Chan Wook x S Craig Zahler movie appearing out of nowhere and going into production is so exciting. That’s a crazy collab

I like Zahler's work but I wouldn't compare any film in Zahler's filmography to any of Park's filmography from past 10 years. Much less his whole filmography.

I wouldn’t either because Zahlers films are vastly superior.

I don’t think Park has made anything that’s come close to his stuff since the days of his Vengeance work. Decision to Leave was solid but his only good movie in 15 years

You must’ve forgot he just did No other choice

Decision to Leave alone clears all of Zahler's work unfortunately. That's not even mentioning The Handmaiden or No Other Choice. I say that as a fan of both.

That being said, I am excited for this new one.

    Just keeping it real

His writing is just way too heavy handed nowadays to make anything truly compelling
