A little late on possible discourse but I just finished The Monkey and I'll be damned if it isn't possibly the best Stephen King adaptation I have ever seen.

Whimsical when it needs to be, nasty when horror happens, the bully characters are overly stupid and aggressive. Perfect King vibes

I would probably give a testicle to have Perkins adapt The Dark Tower series for HBO

8.5 or a light 9 outta 10

(Keep in mind I am a King stan, read a lot of his books as a teen, and his adaptations have received network TV horseshit treatment for the most part. Maybe once a decade there is an adaptation that is done with care and skill)
