Wicked movie

Went into this hyped cause I thought it was going to be a crime mystery thriller like Silence of the Lambs but there wasn’t really much of that going on and tbh the case blows wide open once she decyphers the code and that happens early

I also wasn’t expecting the supernatural element to be a part of the movie. I thought it was gonna be grounded. So I’m gonna sit with it before I give thoughts cause it’s unfair to judge a movie based on what I thought it was going to be vs the movie the director set out to make

One pro and con I’ll give it now:

Pro- that shot of the doll head dissolving into Longlegs face was great imo. The film work in general was great tbh

Con- some of the dialogue. For example, Lee in the room with the little girl and she asks about the trophy head then says “I guess that’s my job, finding things I mean” was a little cringe. Unless I’m missing some subtext to it

Great movie, one of the best suspense s*** ive seen in years. The singing scenes reminded me of classic Cage and made me giggle but other than that he makes an awesome performance.

reminder they hyped this movie as the scariest thing you’d see in your life

Nah it wasnt at all but it is well made and filled with suspense. Give props where its due.

Also in the scene where her partner gets shot in the beginning , all the houses have “twin peaks” on their roofs

and longlegs himself is huge bob vibes

The orbs reminded me of the opposite of S3 The Return's floating glowing orb

S*** was kinda unsettling though, all the hype stuff exited my brain when dude got shot in the beginning

LENGLOGS IS A CLASSIC

Or the box in Brazil or whatever country it was that shifted into an orb
