yeah i'm pro gun and think more americans need to be armed but the way america handles who can buy and handle guns is so woefully unprepared that i'd rather those measures take place before any more people get guns

Now the next thing is, when we get to a place where media/administration can actually address the s*** you just said, then we can start a nationwide conversation around how to address those feelings and what can be done in those communities for those folks

and then guess what? More interaction and community building.

You're not gonna want to hear this fam, but this administration is the most liberal we've ever had in American history progress is slow as f***kk, but all voter apathy is going to do is get Trump or worse elected, education gets even more gutted and the cycle intensifies.

the sheer level of social isolation we experience in this country is actually so debilitating that I don't know how the kids of the enxt generation will react

I rarely see other people in person these days. I only drive places that I need to be for a few hours. Most of my communication occurs over the phone. Half of my classes are online.

It leads to a sense of isolation, no form of strong community to support people who need it , and no supportive outlet for people who may be bullied or abused, creating a feedback loop of negativity

white people aren't as engaged with their community in the same way POC people are

there's a lack of inherent social connection outside of the nuclear family and if you fail to build relationships in your early years you dont have a family system to fall back on

overall its a complex net of issues that only shows more and more that the idea of race has benefited no one in the long run, and even those white folks at the top suffer their own problems as a result of it (even if those problems arent as bad)

Facts. We (society) sees people as less than people more and more. We rationalize that celebrities and rich people have money, so their problems must not be "real", but then we also do it to employees who we only see as a face for corporations (money) instead of as people. Fox News and media in general works so hard at "othering" people that after a certain point you only see people as "enemies"

You can cover s*** with sugar but it aint gonna become a donut jelly. I think Trump was a better US president for the world for 2 reasons.

1. He was a despiteful man with little hands and a big ego. He was also kinda racist and hated obama so he did a 360 on some of the previous administration foreign affair deals out of spite. Which worked out ok cause the US establishment is corrupt.

2. He opened his mouth lied and rambled but in his ramblings he made people realize how f***ed up the establishment is. I dont think the US government could have survived another 4 years of this tbh something ought to give.

My nigga we're past the point that gun control could even happen. And I think people in this thread don't understand that. I'm not even saying gun control shouldn't happen (and if it came off like I did that's on me for not communicating that better), I'm literally saying it can't happen. The amount of guns I've seen just out in the open ( @Ruruchan_ I went to high school in douglas county) before coming to new york for college was absurd. That's when it hit me that s*** is a wrap.

The only way for gun control like niggas in this thread are saying to happen...happens is for there to literally be a Reagan style war...on guns. :word:

Raid every gun store and every armed commodity that sell guns both legally and illegally.

Might have to deal with 10,000 Wacos but yeah. That's literally the only way gun control as of now can be feasible.

that first sentence is straight facts

most white people don’t give a f*** about other white people (speaking from experience)

additionally, white people look down on other white people (rich vs poor, north vs south, “proper” vs “messy” etc) so it really is just close family or friends that you have to fall back on. if you don’t have those you are literally alone. most white people don’t have that sense of loyalty towards other white peoples, no matter how much people think so

the media doesn’t care about you, everyone else pretty much hates or dislikes you. if you speak about your problems people will just shrug you off because you are white and you shouldn’t have problems.

very easy way to feel isolated. i think that’s why we see this one demographic go harder with this school s*** then others.

less external problems to worry about, more internal problems. external problems you can band together with a community. internal you are alone if you don’t have support
