Imagine listening to paris morton 2, tuscan leather, pound cake and not thinking hes impressive
some people are easy to impress, others are not
compared to what the guys in the 90s were dropping hes nothing impressive.
you drop him in the 90s, or even now, he'd get outshined on every track if he featured those guys on his albums.
he probably has had the most impactful career in hiphop and always uses his platform to boost artists.
basketball is the best a***ogy tbh he's sort of like the warriors who pushed the league towards playing more positionless basketball. The idea has definitely been around before, but they took it and pushed it and were the most successful at what they did. Just like how bron came in playing small forward, but has done everything thats traditionally done by each position.
He raps, but he's not just a rap artist. He sings, but he's not just a r&b artist. Dude is just the embodiment of hip-hop and feeds into all of its faucets and is mostly responsible for its popularity and fluidity today.
I have him as the goat for hip hop, with lauryn hill, 3 stacks, ye, and pac rounding out my top 5. For rap i have Jay, wayne, drake, em, biggie/cube
GOAT
Who else had this type of run?
Who else proves themselves time after time?
Stop playing with that boy, how many summers????
Depends on what you mean. It’s no doubt or question he is one of the biggest artists of all time and easily one of the most successful. But I’m terms of his catalog for me personally it’s a big miss of hits and misses. The hits are 10/10, the misses are horrendous. I’m not the biggest Drake fan in the world these days but I can never deny what he’s given us over the last decade
Kanye is 1 of the greatest ARTIST of all time. He’s done a lot for the music culture.
loool thought not writing raps was a problem for you?
