Didn’t beat 1 is the issue but part of me is willing to skip to 2 . Making my way through Alan wake 2 as well
2 has a good recap for the first game.
If the gameplay is what threw you off about one, DS2 improves a lot. If it was the story you didn’t like,
Alan wake 2 so good too

was more gameplay it wasnt bad but didnt hook me due to some of how it felt

The feeling isn’t totally different in 2. But improvements to stealth and combat definitely make it smoother
Maybe worth getting on sale

55 for it is a decent price. Could easily get 100+ hours if it draws you in.
Looks really pretty on pc too
Was playing demo yes
stellar blade's combat opens up the more you progress. i enjoy it a lot, but there are faults.
I have been playing on hard though so some things probably cheese me more than they do on the normal difficulty.
I'd say music, combat is fun. Exploration is rewarding but the first couple of sand environments can get a bit bland, but there is very good art direction in other areas areas.
The enemies were literally scultped with clay.
It's like a bit of Sekiro combat with it's own flair.
