Tim was an annoying insufferable irredeemable prick in Marty. Movie was pure cringe Oscar bait. Sinners wasn’t the best movie but MBJ carried and I wouldn’t be mad at him taking home the Oscar. Idk how Jesse Plemmons wasn’t nominated though. He clears everyone on that list.

Think Timmy carries Marty, entire thing is on his shoulders and he is the sole purpose of that film. Whereas Sinners is great all around, and MBJ plays his part(s) well, but is by no means the strong point to me at all.
