Jonboii thought the prerecorded bits were close to something I'd want for a show like this but all the monologue jokes really were corny white old man humor
I am saying some of those skits can be cut into a snl themed Oscar episode . The skits aren’t saving their ratings . S*** about to go to YouTube where being free will get it mote ratings than Hulu and cable paywall

Yes he is they literally named the imax camera after him . It’s a celebration of FILM. Actors too of course but film and many of the major winners were shot on imax

Prezwow interesting. my understanding is maybe they release them in theaters in a very limited run in NYC/LA which lets them be oscar eligible, but they arent released widely.
i'm not trying to kill short films as an artform but i would separate them out to give more time to features in the oscars ceremony like we've been speaking of. have another night for short film awards. dont think the average viewer has ever heard of any of the shorts
