Like I get it but I hate how every review of anything with the rage sound acts like it’s totally derivative of WLR. Like yeah Carti brought that s*** to the mainstream, but listen to WLR and then go listen to Rest in Bass and psykotic and tell me there hasn’t been major evolution within the genre. Even somebody like Lucy Bedroque with Unmusique

That’s not to say there hasn’t been a ton of rage projects that are totally derivative of WLR. There are and I think that’s why people are mostly burnt out on the sound. But then we get some really, really good projects and I don’t wanna see em get looped in with the rest just because people can’t differentiate between real music and slop.
