U think it serves his legacy better to declare himself God King at age 90 instead of behaving like a normal President for 4 years and hoping his children continue the political dynasty

crakcPpl say Trump is a crazy new phenomenon but he’s actually pretty old school and traditional; he knows charisma is more important than any policy. And he has that in spades, whether you like it or
he’s a right-wing populist demagogue who says what anyone wants to hear
both a warhawk and an anti-war person can support him and they’ll find things trumps said or done to support their claim

I think Trumpism specifically will fade once Trump is out of politics, he is the only “lightning in the bottle”, so to speak, but I think generic right-wing populism will still be a force and we can see that in the rising National Conservative (NatCon) movement
DeSantis and plenty of other candidates try to imitate it but they can’t duplicate it, DeSantis even tried to make it more reactionary but that wasn’t appealing nationally outside of FLA

I think Joe initially ran to keep Trump out. His ego is preventing him from stepping down but keeping Trump out goal is still relevant.
