I honestly fail to see what im missing here too. I realize that news are f***ed up, and so a ~News tag BUILT INTO the section would probably alleviate some of that anxiety when you just opt out of it. but im wholeheartedly against moving it to politics or splitting it any other way bc it kills any activity or bring undesired activity to another section that barely gets by as it is

Nah i dont view it that way, alot of people only go on ktt2 and avoid the f*** out of todays type of social media (twitter insta facebook). Which is one of the reasons i think this thread is getting the traction its getting.

Exactly half the mass shooting threads and other stuff turn into politics already. NRA, immigration, terrorism, those threads have political stuff built in and Life is now half Politics already which is why that section is dead. Half the users here really belong there but don't go because it's dead and it's an endless loop until they fully migrate here
