that's how I feel about Again

lots of good individual songs but just doesn't really mesh as an album to me and doesn't have a clearly defined sound-world like his other albums imo

also Replica was the first I heard and saw him live around that time when I was a wee one

Thats fair i can def see that i personally think Again is very well structured and cohesive but i like seeing different opinions on things i love its great

I got into him around 2018 i think i listened to Garden of Delete and it kinda broke my brain cause i had never heard anything like it ever lmao

yeah Garden of Delete still sounds ahead of so much, mind-boggling stuff. The cybergrunge concept resonates with me too because 90s rock/grunge was one of the sounds that got me super into music and some of the riffs (particularly Ezra) sound like something one of those bands would come up with but it's taken into a completely new direction

Thats really interesting honestly i know about the whole concept obviously but it never really resonated with me all that much as this wasnt really the stuff i had growing up but i definitely relate to the themes of puberty as this kind of horror story happening to you thats some good s*** he did there

And the sounds he conjures up on that album are just something ive never heard anywhere else evencin his own discog, Mutant Standard live was life changing man..

Really changed my music and my producing that album. I stopped using so much washy delay and reverb and got super into darker more dramatic sounds and song structure

Yeah honestly i just really really liked Again and seeing it live also Plays a part in it

I do love Replica but ive Always felt it was a bit all over the place 🤔 the songs themselves are fine and very good but i rarely finish the album

Looking forward to the new album. His run from 2009-2015 is one of the 21st century greats in experimental music.
