it make sense bro, Seems like Shanks has a goal in mind that he doesn't want any members of the Rocks to get together again or meetup. Marines would've been annihilated if Kaido and Whitebeard combined their powers. and we know that Kaido Looks up to Whitebeard and admires him. Man even tried jumping off from Skypeia to end it after Whitebeards death.

Kaido was going to help Whitebeard? I had always assumed he was just going to f\*\*\* with both sides, and Shanks stopped him. If what you’re saying is true, it definitely changes the way I view Kaido and Shanks

I mean, Kaido was considered to be the young blood of the Rocks, Lin-Lin the Sister and Whitebeard the Big Bro (im speculating, but LinLin called Kaido Little Brother in one of the recent chapters). Whitebeard and Kaido would've fought in Marineford for sure, but after destroying the Marines. Remember that Whitebeard was considered to be the strongest person at the time. So it kinda make sense that Kaido wants to die by the strongest person.

It didn't say anything about rumors in the chapter it was disclosed in, they said it very matter of a factly.
