It’s the consistency that really sets it apart. It’s hard to explain to people that don’t give it a shot how it’s not just endless rambling for no purpose
That's so true.
I'm so glad I gave it a shot when I did(I started watching the anime around the time when the Whole Cake Island arc started). People who get disheartened or intimidated by its length are really missing out.
the greatest f***ing manga to exist. these mid endings in naruto, attack on titan...
one piece (the undisputed goat) still going strong

What I find so funny and sad is that people will ask for a new manga or anime to watch and I’ll suggest one piece and they’ll pass on it. They have no clue what they’re missing out on. After all this time, one piece still feels fresh
Ashura making an appearance after 500 chapters is the kind of detail that makes OP interesting.

Kaido is the strongest creature on earth. If Luffy beats him, that means he’s on that level. I can’t see him being on that level yet, he has to find the OP first. And it’s way too sudden. He got destroyed just a week before by Kaido.
