Psychodramalooks like zoro luffy and yamato will be the ones to land the final blow on kaido
- yamato being ''oden'' (so the name of oden is part of kaido's downfall)
- zoro the only one that can slice kaido's head off
- and luffy the only one to bring kaido in his weakest (with some new technique or form) so zoro can kill him
chapter 1000 = luffy kaido 1v1
wano conclusion = momonosuke becomes the new shogun and everybody throws a big festival in honor of the kozuki name
Post-wano = we get news of some world-changing tragedy that occured while the SHs were in wano

I used to read up until dressrosa (around when it was officially releasing as manga).
Tbh I prefer manga as an art form as its a lot less time consuming, I might slowly watch some of the arcs though (will probably skip FMI) but should I just start reading from end of marineford or start over?
anyone done something similar.

Well for me, my first exposure to One Piece was from the 4Kids dub when it first aired on the Fox Box. I grew up watching every episode of that up until Toonami switched to the Funimation dub and aired the beginning of the Skypeia arc.
From there, I watched the subbed anime all the way to the Sabaody Archipelago Arc, all the while using a wiki guide to figure out what flllers to skip. Then I just read the manga and never really looked back.

Interesting, the manga long as s*** too right? But I’m guessing the pacing is just that much better.
Tbh, since I’m able to binge 940+ episodes, pacing hasn’t bothered me.
Now, I can see how waiting each week during dressrosa would’ve made a nigga angry
