i don’t understand why he actin like the way he did in the last 2 chapters if he indeed gave food to Luffy… did he let himself get punched by Gear 5th in this chapter on purpose? would explain the nerfing

I kinda do wanna lean on him getting punched on purpose. There was a panel of him reacting to Luffy before the punch, it wasn't completely by surprise. Or didn't seem so anyways. Even if it was just a split second, an admiral with the speed of light should be dodging that. It's just really dumb if he got nerfed for sake of plot.

NayutaIt feels like it's too much stacked in the favor of the straw hats right now. We haven't seen whatever Blackbeard's crew is doing still. Between the giant robot, actual giants, and gear 5 it just looks like a foregone conclusion.
Vegapunk may be dead, but guy got numerous stellas, so he will live on regardless here.
Idk there's no tension at this point, it's all feeling very comfy for our protagonists
The tension is that we don't know what Saturn is capable of yet + Luffy only has a limited time in G5 and Kizaru is still active. The giants + robot pretty much cancel out the buster call but I think it's still a situation where they need to be running away cause if Saturn goes down and Imu gets word of the situation then egghead is finished

I enjoyed Skypiea so much I hate that I almost listened to some older fans saying it could be skipped
Luffy might be my goat shonen protag. The Straw Hats also gotta be one of the my favorite portrayals of the found family trope.

Apparently its because a lot of these characters never come back? Even if thats true, i feel like i got more than enough adventure, story and character development (or at least many small character moments) to make this a worthy and satisfying chapter of this story. Not to mention that ep at the end of Jaya where I was introduced to like 20 new characters who I know for a fact are essential to the story after this.
To each their own and I know theres much more and better to come but s*** i had a blast with this. Not a skip.
