Yamato not joining is really odd. Her whole introduction and character is about following Oden's footsteps. She spent a ton of time saying she was wanted to join the strawhats and then decides to stay in Wano off-panel? It felt/feels like she was being built up for something specific with her obsession with Oden and her devil fruit and I don't see how those things can come to fruition if she stays on Wano. I trust that Oda has plans for her but it just feels really abrupt.
