entire thing so unbelievable I can't believe how high the bar has been raised,

straw hats getting their alliance of pirates
sabo and revoulutaionary army
fourth gear
law and corazon/doflamingo backstory

unreal storytelling on all levels

Banquet scenes are always some of my favorite in One Piece and on some days it would be easy to say the Dressrosa one is my favorite, I remember loving all the grand fleet stuff so much

What did you think of Fujitora and Bellamy (he's got some of the best development in the series imo even if he's just a smaller side character)?

the parallels new world has with stuff from paradise is blowing my mind, dressrosa/alabasta, aokiji/fujitora and bellamy coming back like how is oda doing al lthis

feel like the binging experience of dressrosa was probs way better than weekly the wait would have ruined pacing so much

Yes that definitely didn't help as the pacing was pretty bad during that whole birdcage scenario. Other than that I just think it was a not so great alabasta 2.0 and it was kinda messy
I didn't like most of the side side characters and especially doflamingos crew was a big disappointment
Also I really didn't like the Sabo reveal
It does have some amazing moments tho (gear fourth, big mom pirates showing up, corazon, senor pink backstory etc) and doflamingo probably my second favorite villain in the series

I love when Sanji has chances to have his leadership/intelligence shine (ie going back for the gates of justice lever in Enies Lobby)

I know everyone talks about his kindness and/or lack of a big fight in WCI but I thought those two qualities of his really shone there too and it's a big reason why I enjoyed it as much as I did

Sales were low during the Reverie and Oden flashback even though they’re some of my favorite moments in the entire story.

Yeah if it weren't for that awful cake chasing and if sanji had gotten a proper fight, wci would've been prolly one of my favorite arcs ever
