    I think we can't look at a list like this the way we saw XXL ever again, these guys probably won't be mainstream successes but if they gunna drop a list of rappers of this quality every year I'm here for it

    the fact they probably aren’t gonna blow up mainstream is what makes the list funky to me cuz this coulda been the same list for ‘24 or ‘25 tbh

    like what criteria is gonna get you past this level

    and i don’t mean it in a hating way to the artists or on the radar cuz i generally like them

    Well there's a cypher dropping on Friday. Ray Vaughn will at least get the TDE crowd's eyes on it. Chris Patrick already had a viral cypher moment last year, maybe there's a viral moment in these cyphers that gets a major label deal or something and somebody breaks through, and it validates this list in a way where next year can be 10 rappers we never heard of and they can break through even more
