Dan Nigri’s leftover Chappell Roan beats are being used for another disastrous lead single, but O. Rod can’t seem to make them work because she’s a terrible vocalist. This era is already over, and the song just sounds like the Archer from Lover or any other terrible post-Reputation pop song.

many are saying this!
This feels like it was made for Chappell but she just didn’t really know how to fit on the beat. It sounds just like Gracie Abrams and Taylor Swift. Hate to say it but she might need some help from Jack Antonoff.
ok I really really like this direction
hopefully theres more of this on the album
video looks straight from the 80s
f*** cameron winter
all the pushback from depressed millennials about her copying punk pop artists turned her into this weird limbo artist
she has no identity and is completely directionless
she really should just lean into full rock and set herself apart from her peers
like i’d love if she leaned into the courtney hole hayley williams early paramore angry angsty s*** she touched on lightly in this

even if she tapped into what Demi was channeling on the Don’t Forget album. i feel like this single could’ve came from any of the pop girls out rn

big agree
I know it's not the rock anthem some of us wanted, but I don't find it boring at all. It's very sweet, very on-brand for her lyrically (not like Chappell or nu-Taylor at all, really) and there are a couple little quirks that make it sound like something she would drop, rather than a leftover for another pop act.
It's a cute song. I like it more than Vampire, but not as much as Bad Idea Right, which I still spin all the time.
A mostly fine song that’s maybe a weird choice for a lead single.
The biggest concern for me is that she’s only two albums + one song into her career, and her songwriting already feels very stagnant and predictable. She has very obvious crutches that she relies on, and it hasn’t seemed to evolve all that much from Sour… which was written when she was 16/17.
good song. mostly dancing on taylor's grave at this point
this s*** suck
