Old Ye could say some of the most random BS ever and still make it sound charismatic as f***. After Yeezus he's lost that flow but it still pops up here and there
Feel like when he actually sits down and writes a verse, that's when his old flow kinda peeks back

I think it works on NMPILA. I like how he slows down and loses the flow during the most meaningful lines of the verse, it makes it stick out more
But in 2020 he just straight up forgot how to rap. 90% of his verses from around this time have the exact same “lose the flow at random points and try to pick it back up” cadence, very strange. He’s mostly fixed it but it still happens, that one new snippet being an example.
