They’re not not lyrical, what are u getting at?
They not tryhard rappers like he's implying, just cause they can rap don't make them lyrical
I'm taking a good majority of the people you named on that list over listening to a lot of Eminems music in 2025
True but they’ll never reach the highs and commercial success of Eminem in ‘99 - 2004.

Yeah but most people haven’t. I wouldn’t discredit the work they’re putting out and the effort they put into it, on the basis of 1 dudes prime.
Sabas Care For Me album touched me in a way a lot of the most “popular” music hasn’t. And that type of measure subjectively means more to me then an arbitrary measure of accolades and success.
This is a great track. Damn nearly perfect. I think the only part I didn’t like was offset rapping ‘let the bodies hit the floor’ I think he should have left the background whispers on its own. Still a fire track tho
We gotta make JID a superstar man he is the one 🔥

He’s 35 already. Has anyone became a superstar passed 30?

Care For Me is criminally underrated it should be talked about with the greats of the 2010s

Saba in general just gets overlooked
Denzel, JID, Smino etc. have all received more attention and recognition then him

Yeah you’re right don’t know about superstars. I guess Rick Ross and 2Chainz went pretty crazy in their 30s 🤔
Smino and vince as "lyrical" rappers
Vince pen lowkey nice sometimes
Got a squabble, now he Cassius Clay
But I'm Hurricane Carter, you know I'm gon' catch a case
But "Lil Wayne Carter" what I call my .38
Kiss your baby in the face if you play with where I stay
But he definitely not JID lyrical miracle type rapping

He def nice but he not lyrical miracle is what I mean
I wish they leaned into the sample more tbh
insane to sample a metal song like that and not use the part where they actually start yelling n s***
could’ve just asked me to whisper if that was their plan

Scream vocals just don't mesh with the rest of this beat. The part they sampled is good

Really anticlimactic to not at least just keep FLOOOR as a drop. I woulda put Kenny Mason on a 3rd verse too but it's a completely different song with those two changes lol

eminem was white and rage baiting insanely that’s why his music popped so crazy, him being a lyrical rapper wasn’t the reason his stuff went so mainstream

and ain’t nobody tryna hear a niche ass sample they don’t recognize anyways, niggas just gone look at Offset like
“why this nigga screaming in my ear”
