We’ve got 2 planned in Texarkana and 3 in Shreveport. 5 in a 50 mile radius.
In my line of work I’ve got to talk to at least one of these companies and it’s literal “Who?”’s that are planning it. There’s a lot of hope that after they build these that someone will come in and use their infrastructure.
They won’t do automatic voter registration or automatic tax processing tho
WE KNOW WHY but its just funny
This s*** killing me what is going on
Really hope Talarico beats Crockett in the Texas Senate primary for a few reasons:
1) Crockett is the definition of a “resistance lib” whose whole campaign centers around beating Trump or owning MAGA. It’s what Kamala did and what Biden did before he dropped out (and a lot of congressional Dems in 2024) — it’s not a successful General Election strategy, it’s just good at getting you fundraising money.
2) Talarico is a really good progressive option for the next wave of Dem leadership. People don’t naturally see him as progressive because he’s a bible thumper and a clean cut white guy, but his policy focus is definitely way more progressive than typical establishment Dems
3) Talarico is good at branching out and speaking to a variety of people on social media, Joe Rogan, Fox News, etc. Draws people in rather than pushing them away
Lol

"It must be really weird being a soldier on one of these ships and knowing deep down that your government prays for the day you are blown up by the people you keep plundering.
Edit: Thinking about it, American ships being shot at/blown up have been the casus belli of like half of all American wars; the Maine, the Lusitania, Pearl Harbor, Gulf of Tonkin...
Maybe it's just that with the high fatality rate of marine disasters, they make for good excuses to go in, or maybe, eventually, it developed into a kind of tradition, politicians referring back to previous cases to justify the same behavior with regards to the present one."

Don’t live in Texas, but I’ve seen clips of Talarico here and there, and idk what it is but I don’t get a good vibe from him. Something about him just don’t sit right, might be his Bible thumping ways. Not the biggest Jasmine Crockett fan either. She’ll likely lose the election though. From what I’ve seen she’s just anti Trump/pro dem establishment, which is like you said not gonna cut it.

I mean I’m agnostic and not into religion being mixed with government in any way
But ultimately I do get the sense that he would at least be electable in Texas and he seems authentic, and if that gets progressive policies pushed forward I’m all for it
