Tip a legend he can do whatever he wants lmao.

He did What U Know, Rubberband Man, Whatever You Like, Go Get It... Nothing to prove.

Exactly, so if hes not making good music that people are into, why bother? Cause he honestly never had a great album and never had a "sound".

He doesnt fit in the current ATL landscape and hasnt for years.

Yet he keeps trying to make music for a generation that knows him more for being King and Damani's dad then for Trap Muzik or Urban Legend.

Ego is fueling these albums and that's why they come out sounding like they do.

  • Every new leak is "amazing".

Stop it. If you're real T.I. fans, dont gas his mediocre music.

    Paper Trail is great too

  • They have great moments but great albums?

    Idk.

His music was good but he never defined the era with a project. He never really had a distinct sound, he wasnt really married to Toomp creatively so he basically just put stuff together. Sometimes it worked but his latest stuff hasnt. Closest album to a classic is prolly Paper Trail and that's more Pop then anything else hes ever done. I love his 1st 3 projects but I dont think they aged very well at all.

Tip is a legend but does he have a TM101 in his catalog? No.

His best album since Paper Trail....and it still didnt have the highs of his best work.

G Season proves he f***ed up when he let Meek go.

2012 actually wasnt too bad of a year.

i enjoyed games jesus piece album as well that year. both vets dropped solid albums when their previous work didnt really impress.

Trap Muzik is a classic. I'll never forget the day that s*** came out. I don't think it has the same impact on you unless you were listening to it when it dropped.

Just a fantastic project top to bottom.

I used to think it was Tip's one true classic but I bumped it recently and it's truly a product of the era.

Back when David Banner beats were a thing.

Strongly disagree. There's one David Banner beat on the album lol. Those Kanye records didn't age well? No More talk didn't age well? Be easy didn't age well? I can't quit didn't age well? Bezzle didn't age well?

I would agree that Urban Legend has several songs that didn't age well (Get Ya S*** Together, The Greatest, Get Loose) but I don't think Trap Muzik has a single record that didn't age well.

    Hi guys!

It's been a while and I'm catching up with the thread.

I just heard "Pardon" and I wanted to ask you. Does it remind you of "Help is coming"? The original version to be precise.

This is what I'm talking about: youtube.com/watch?v=drMXiadUR_k (Just Blaze studio session)

    Edit: youtube.com/watch?v=dh40EuV44Ts (the original version)
Edit2: I caught up with the thread and saw it was mentioned already.

Let's calm down shall we. Not a single great album? No never had a sound?

    Yikes brother.

This David Banner track is special. Its so damn good. I bet its going to be the last track of the album giving the way he talks at the end
