The reason I rate it so highly is because it's the one time in his whole discography we see a restrained Ye. He forced himself to whittle the project down to 7 songs and it shows in the song selection. We usually get "too much" from Kanye - his whole id is like, blurting out all his thoughts no filter. On Ye, we got a refined, filtered Ye, and every bar on here mattered. (IMO)

The reason Ye was panned so hard, even amongst his own fans is because the time it dropped was the peak of Kanye-hate and nearly everyone, even his diehards, were turning on him

Never felt like MBDTF/Yeezus were leagues ahead like a lot of people and that they're all classics.

How you feeling about the album after a few days/repeated listens?

Best since at least Yeezus. Maybe MBDTF. Only song I skip is the pop smoke track(and sometimes Jesus Lord cause its so long lol)

Could have been AOTY if trimmered a bit. Believe What I Say could have been every ig story or whip during all the summer, pity the album came out too late.
