Whats better to play on a Samsung TV? HDR mode or game mode?

Not really, just the TV's image processing stuff turns off so there's minor input lag.

Uploading all your ps4 save data on the cloud, and downloading it manually is the better option.

external HD is working fine for me after 2 weeks now so if you have games on it you want to move onto the ps5 go ahead and do that
