so if I've never played a souls game demons souls isn't the place to start? would I be better off getting bloodborne from the ps plus pack?

you should 100% try bloodborne if you have ps plus. you might as well, it’s a free bonus and an amazing game.

Demon's Souls you'd be getting 60FPS

Bloodborne you'd be getting the last-gen experience, it isn't upgraded for PS5 in any way and still suffers the same frame pacing issues, at 30FPS

so that's something to take into consideration

Also I've been seeing almost universal positive reception for Demon's Souls

that's the only game I'm getting with the PS5, along with Ghost Of Tsushima and Cyberpunk 2077 later

Bugs are overblown tbh as they are with every console launch. With the advancement of social media since 2013 it was bound to seem more common. Ive has a single issue with a download bug but I’m sure it will be fixed soon. I also use restmode and all that noise.

But yeah availability it’s f***ed

The souls games feel amazing at 60 fps, and the action in bb is faster than the other souls games beside sekiro that's why i suggest waiting to play bb
