It's in sound settings. You want the rain to be right next to your ear not too high not too low. Had set mine to level 2.

Mines a PS4 Bluetooth one that used the optical port to get 3D surround sound

PS5 doesn’t have optical port so it’s just acting as a regular headset rn. I was looking into getting an HDMI splitter to do it but there’s none for 2.1 so basically out of luck till they restock the 3D pulse

3D Audio works with ANY headset. You can plug in Apple earphones and get 3D audio. 3D surround sound has nothing to do with it

You don’t need to buy a new headset as long as you can get sound output through the one you have

Your headset is running 3D audio right now because it’s a dedicated chip inside the ps5. Go into settings > audio and then check the ear profiles for 3D audio
