No quick resume play, weak BC, and a less powerful console are all key reasons. I'll reasses next year on which console is worth purchasing, but right now Xbox looks better.

Quick resume is something I would use often
BC for older games is something I would use more often

I don't like any microsoft or sony exclusive games so it comes down to multiplatform games for me.

You barely need quick resume when games load in less than 10 seconds. Also how many times are you gonna load up a game and not know where tf you are or what you are doing at that time? I would never downplay quick resume as its a dope feature but it isnt end-all-be-all when games already load super fast. Ps5 may get quick resume added as well.

Did you not watch Digital Foundry's video on backwards comparability? tell me why the best video game technical a***ysis channel thinks the BC is fantastic while you say its weak... Because it loads it 2 seconds slower than Xbox??? you do realize that countless of those games also look worse on Xbox due to them originally being 900p unlike the 1080p ps4 versions? Most unpatched games will be better on ps5 due to them being higher resolution/better versions on ps4.

You're ignoring the ps5 controller, 3D audio, haptic feedback/adaptive triggers, built in mic on controller, Astro's playroom free, exclusives, etc

You can put your PS4 games on an external HDD, connect the HDD on the PS5 and play them anytime you want
