Xbox/MS wants people to pay for Gamepass...they wont achieve this with putting their games on PS.

This is why they released the series S, so PS players would realise how much exclusive games they got, and decide to get a cheap xbox just like how alot of people with a Ps/Xbox decided to get a switch just to play the exclusives nintendo games.

Atleast that's how I see it

Xbox/Microsoft wants money, if you look at the biggest blockbuster games, not a single one is exclusive to Xbox or ps4

MS paid 7.5 billion dollars so they can own all Bethesda games and make them exclusive only to Gamepass.

MS wants to make money by making you pay for Gamepass to play your favourite games.

By your logic, I guess Sony should release Spiderman and God of War to Xbox since the biggest games released are not exclusive games and Sony would make more money selling these games to Xbox users.

Ofcourse that isn't the case, coz Sony cares more about selling consoles than selling more copies of a game.

They literally came out and said the opposite

Again they are a trillion dollar company they can afford to lose money in the present to sell more consoles. Like you said most won’t buy, but some will and that’s what Microsoft wants.

Yeah but non subscription gaming can lead to greedy practices too.
Think of it this way, games new are like 75 bucks now. You pay 15 a month for the year it comes out to 180. If you buy 3 full price games you're already over that at 225 after tax. You can pay 15, maybe less with a deal, and get all the new games on xbox, access to other games there and it comes with xbox live. That doesn't seem that greedy to me. Hell you can even just pay the 15 for the month and play when a new exclusive comes out.

Okay but what's to stop other developers from saying f*** this let's start our own sub service and now we got like 10 others we gotta pay for? Eventually it'll add up.

It's kind of interesting since it says Fallout 4 sold 13+ million as of 2020, unsure how accurate that is, but I'll rock with it. Saw something else that said it's sold 5 million something copies on PS4 since March of 2020.

And if we go back to 2015 when Fallout 4 dropped, it sold 3 million on PS4, Xbox sold 1.7 million, and PC sold 449k according to VGChartz: vgchartz.com/article/262199/fallout-4-sells-an-estimated-519m-first-week-at-retail

So I wonder what percentage or how much of an increase Microsoft expects to get on people getting game pass versus what they could make if they made it multi platform

Only Bethesda games i care about are Starfield and Elder Scrolls

And I'm sure I'll have a Series X by the time either of those games release
