tbh now that i think about it, like 95% of the games i play are japanese
thats why i stay sony'd down
they don’t need it to recoup what they spent, he said, as in, yes hypothetically they’d be ok without it, but they’re definitely going to take it. We’re talking about Microsoft here. The more they make the more studios they’ll be able to buy and so on, they’re incentivized to drop these huge games multiplatform. And they can make it launch on Xbox/pc first to get the diehard fans to come to game pass for a while before they make money from the ps user base. It’s a brilliant move on their part.
They’re one of like 5 companies worth a trillion dollars, I think they can afford to sell less Bethesda games but sell more consoles for people who has to buy an Xbox

that wouldn’t work because most people with ps5s won’t just buy a new console for 1 or 2 games, but millions of PS5 owners would buy these games
You’re talking about a huge profit difference,
That’s why the top 5 best sellers of this gaming era were Xbox1+ps4 multiplatform titles

Xbox/MS wants people to pay for Gamepass...they wont achieve this with putting their games on PS.
This is why they released the series S, so PS players would realise how much exclusive games they got, and decide to get a cheap xbox just like how alot of people with a Ps/Xbox decided to get a switch just to play the exclusives nintendo games.
Atleast that's how I see it

Xbox/Microsoft wants money, if you look at the biggest blockbuster games, not a single one is exclusive to Xbox or ps4

MS paid 7.5 billion dollars so they can own all Bethesda games and make them exclusive only to Gamepass.
MS wants to make money by making you pay for Gamepass to play your favourite games.
By your logic, I guess Sony should release Spiderman and God of War to Xbox since the biggest games released are not exclusive games and Sony would make more money selling these games to Xbox users.
Ofcourse that isn't the case, coz Sony cares more about selling consoles than selling more copies of a game.

They literally came out and said the opposite
The head of Xbox said word for word:
"This deal was not done to take games away from another player base like that," Spencer said. "Nowhere in the documentation that we put together was: 'How do we keep other players from playing these games?' We want more people to be able to play games, not fewer people to be able to go play games."

"when I think about where people are going to be playing and the number of devices that we had, and we have xCloud and PC and Game Pass and our console base, I don’t have to go ship those games on any other platform other than the platforms that we support in order to kind of make the deal work for us. Whatever that means."
They don't need Sony my guy, they want everybody to pay for Gamepass. That all that matters for them.

Again they are a trillion dollar company they can afford to lose money in the present to sell more consoles. Like you said most won’t buy, but some will and that’s what Microsoft wants.
Gamepass aka Gaming Netflix aka More reason to f*** gamers in the ass by making studio releases exclusive to multiple gaming subscriptions.

Gamepass looks lit idk what you talking about lol.
You can like playstation and gamepass.
I'll probably get an xbox down the line if the games are good and cop gamepass for a month or 2 and run through them.

PlayStation ain't getting off this either with their PS Now
I just don't like the concept of subscription gaming. It can lead to very greedy practices in the future.

Yeah but non subscription gaming can lead to greedy practices too.
Think of it this way, games new are like 75 bucks now. You pay 15 a month for the year it comes out to 180. If you buy 3 full price games you're already over that at 225 after tax. You can pay 15, maybe less with a deal, and get all the new games on xbox, access to other games there and it comes with xbox live. That doesn't seem that greedy to me. Hell you can even just pay the 15 for the month and play when a new exclusive comes out.

Okay but what's to stop other developers from saying f*** this let's start our own sub service and now we got like 10 others we gotta pay for? Eventually it'll add up.
This is what's happening with movie/TV services.
Controllers have apparently started turning up at Walmart's.
Some are already selling on Marketplace

It's kind of interesting since it says Fallout 4 sold 13+ million as of 2020, unsure how accurate that is, but I'll rock with it. Saw something else that said it's sold 5 million something copies on PS4 since March of 2020.
And if we go back to 2015 when Fallout 4 dropped, it sold 3 million on PS4, Xbox sold 1.7 million, and PC sold 449k according to VGChartz: vgchartz.com/article/262199/fallout-4-sells-an-estimated-519m-first-week-at-retail
So I wonder what percentage or how much of an increase Microsoft expects to get on people getting game pass versus what they could make if they made it multi platform

Might as well drop the ps5 early
Xbox ceo on buying Bethesda:
"This deal was not done to take games away from another player base like that,"
“We want more people to be able to play games, not fewer people to be able to go play games."
this s*** definitely coming to PS5. That multi platform money is too much to pass up
The top 5 selling ps4 games sold on both Xbox and ps4
1. GTA 5
2. RDR 2
3. COD
4. COD
5. COD
Wishful thinking...
Xbox has plenty of exclusive games coming what makes you think Bethesda games will be any different? They don’t need PS money.
Looks like Bethesda games ain’t coming to PlayStation unless they allow game pass on ps5. Never happening obviously
Their games ass anyways
Only Bethesda games i care about are Starfield and Elder Scrolls
And I'm sure I'll have a Series X by the time either of those games release
