Its not though, the CPU is even faster than the PS5 one

The series s cpu is clocked .1 ghz slower than the ps5

    Series x is .1ghz faster

nah the article I read said the power matched the power of the Xbox one X

PS5 is much more powerful than that lol

Well you clearly misread it because it matches the power of the XSX. The video Xbox put out on the XSS goes into this in more details and says the same things too. Biggest difference is that the GPU is a lot less powerful and you get 10GB memory instead of the 16.
    512GB instead of 1TB too.

Yeah the gpu is a lot less powerful making it match the power of Xbox one x, CPU is slower too

I just reread the article and alanah Pearce even confirms it lol

You’re wrong and what I said has been confirmed

It’s basically a slim version of the Xbox one X

    With no 4k drive

That’s how they achieved selling it for $200 less than the series X

she quoted an article.. which is talking about gpu performance, the cpu is way more powerful than the xbox one 3x the performance . That is where the next gen jump is

dunno if you know much about gaming but CPU really doesn’t make a huge difference in gaming, at least in terms of a good one vs a great one.

it will help with multitasking such as navigating the UI and switching between apps or recording yourself play and saving videos and such. But this will be a much weaker console than PS5 and XSX in terms of gaming performance such as FPS and graphics

Lmao yeah you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about the cpu is the driving force for gaming it handles the draw calls telling the gpu what to do.

but a great cpu won’t make a weak gpu overperform something with a better gpu lol, that’s not how computing works

Game performance will be more on par with Xbox one x

Those are two different architectures rdna2 has way more IPC than gcn based gpu’s. You’re wrong it’s exactly why series S can do 120fps and last gen consoles could barely do 60fps

The architecture of Series S will make it capable of 120fps, it won’t actually achieve that for most games (except for Minecraft with ray tracing off and Tetris)

The GPU, which is driving force behind graphics, is too weak to achieve that. That’s part of the reason they lowered the resolution. Xbox one x was a 4k console lol, are you joking?

    $379 digital.
    $450 physical.
