I mean it's true though
They've given up with trying to keep up sony and now they're competing with Stadia

It's a shame because this is the first gen in my life I can afford to have both consoles and microsoft choose to s*** the bed

Yeah I don't mess with the whole Stadia/Game Pass thing so I would say Sony and Nintendo are doing the right thing tbh.
I really want to know where that Microsoft fan boy that used to raid this thread is now.

I think Xbox gonna pick it up later in the gen and gamepass is going to be out mid way or later into the gen with all the games on it. They have first party IPs that might turn into some cool stuff

This was a nice surprise tbh. Now... What will Sony do with a PS5 Pro? Damn... I'm now REALLY looking forward to it

Props to people who can hold off till mid-late console gen to get a Pro because I couldn't.

Imma get both tbh... Unless by the time I do get back to gaming so is it 2022 or later. I can't miss out on having the best and latest version of a console from Sony. But yeah for those who can only afford to get one of them so do they deserve some probs for been this patient and waiting for the Pro version of the console which takes at least 3-4 years before it's out.

Not happening the word is they don’t want to make one again.
He’s passing off information someone else posted days ago as his own...

That's not what I remember reading during this year or some time in late 2019. That Sony engineer didn't seem like he didn't want it to happen again.

Also can you show me where you saw this info somewhere else?

I’ll have to look for it, also a former xbox exec said the reason those consoles exist is because 4k became mainstream and the old consoles couldn’t do that. 8k is nowhere near being mainstream so no real reason, these next gen consoles are so powerful there is no need to upgrade mid cycle.

Dunno about XSX... But I think it makes more sense for Sony tbh. Things have changed so it won't hurt Sony to do it and they haven't said anything official about them not ever been interested in doing it again. So we'll see what they do decide to do when some real informations about the PS5 Pro starts leaking some time in 2022-2023... Or even maybe in late 2021. Also I do imagine the whole 8K thing been more mainstream or well you know accepted by 2023 or 2024 and that might be a good reason for them to do it and sell some Sony 8K TV's. As I don't see the PS5 been good enough for that besides maybe it been decent at handling stuff like 8K Netflix movies or YouTube videos. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole CBR thing (I mean a better version of it as the PS5 OG might do that too) will make a return once the PS5 Pro is out and has some 8K/30 FPS games been made.

How does it make sense for sony ? An 8k YouTube machine sounds like a bad idea ps5 is a game console first and it is already a 4k/ 60fps machine, 8k gaming isn’t going to happen in five years
I think Santa Monica is working on a new IP and it will be shown in the next PS5 show...
Cory Barlog f***ing around in twitter way too much.

I mean let's be honest... PS5 won't really have 8K games. And if it does so is it some really basic games that its GPU/CPU can handle. And with them trying to advertise 8K gaming so will they realize that a mid-gen upgrade for the PS5 is needed but if MS does it too so would it be a good idea for them to wait and to for example not release it in 2023 but wait until 2024 or 2025 to release it depending on if waiting another 1 or 2 years is worth it. And with that so can they appeal to both their casual and hardcore gamers.
@Nute I'm playing the old metal gears for the first time and I just finished 3 man that ending teared me up
