This kind of bootlicking is terrible for consumers

Bootlicking? There’s a reason pc gamers stopped using discs like a decade ago, and it’s not bootlicking lol. Discs have become idiotic, it’s not like the ps1/ps2 days anymore.

Besides down the line if they really are upset with the sales in the ps5 store you can just buy the disc drive upgrade, you’re not locked out of physicals

Been playing Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered on PS5 this past week and I've been really enjoying it. Some years ago I had the original game on a PS4 but I gave away that PS4 shortly after getting it so I didn't get far into HZD. I think I stopped when I got to Meridian but now I'm way past that. The remastered 60 FPS version on PS5 looks great and feels great.

I just played through the free version without the remaster and enjoyed it as well. I was surprised, as I am not big on the open world formula any longer, but I get the appeal. Gameplay was pretty clean 3rd person action, shooting, etc.

Story on the other hand… but story is like the least important aspect for me to enjoy a game so it was no big deal

There’s a free version? I just finished the remastered version about an hour after I made my post but The Frozen Wilds DLC is included in the remaster so I might start on that.

I got it free with PlayStation plus like 2 years ago, complete edition w/frozen wilds

As someone who buys digital exclusively nowadays id still recommend physical. You don't want to be locked in to just the ps store for game purchases which are priced stupidly high new and does take some time to drop whereas physicals you should be able to find games cheaper and also the option of selling too which helps with the cost

Nice! I just finished the main game plus the DLC now and I enjoyed both parts. Thinking about potentially getting the sequel at some point if I get the urge to plunder more machines. Have you played it? Horizon Forbidden West. If so, what are your thoughts on it?

I bought the physical one just so I could have the option to buy a game in whichever form was the most convenient at the time. Ended up buying all games digitally through the PlayStation Store. Lots of sales on the digital shop and then there’s games included in the PS Plus memberships so digital purchases just came naturally and felt more convenient with the PS5 for me.

But I'll do it once I've finished some other stuff lol as my backlog is getting bigger and bigger every year so I do prefer to finish one game or series first and then start with another one unless Tekken 8 gets some new DLC so do I play that first and then so do I go to the game I played before the Tekken 8 stuff made me pause it temporarily.

But man the Horizon: Forbidden West DLC is one of the things that will really blow your mind as I've heard it's good but I didn't want to spoil it for myself so I only checked out a short video of it. But yeah the "Burning Shores" DLC is PS5/PS5 Pro exclusive so you'll notice that it looks and runs better than the regular game.

But the regular game itself is still mind-blowing too but the DLC is even better graphically and runs better... So yeah I think you won't regret getting the sequel and they're working on a sequel to Horizon: Forbidden West so look forward to it too since I do expect it to be even better than the other two Horizon games

I put a few hours into it at launch and ended up dropping it pretty quickly, just wasn’t clicking with me and probably didn’t help that I played BOTW right before it but the remaster looks absolutely gorgeous and was only $15 so shall go into it with an open mind this time

Horizon: Forbidden West should look better... Unless you mean compared to the remastered version of Horizon: Zero Dawn so will I say yeah the difference isn't as much because Horizon: Zero Dawn got remastered and looks better than the PS4/PS4 Pro version of the game. But well I think you're going to like it

Yeah I did notice that and I think it'll hit 2000 pages in the next 6-12 months hopefully.

@pusherTEA Oh man the PS5 Pro will make you go back to many enhanced games for it for sure... And the PS5 Pro is becoming more and more worth it with each game really taking advantage of the extra stuff it can do and with PSSR getting better and better so will the PS5 Pro's current advantage become even bigger. So yeah I would say the PS5 Pro is worth it
