The same mode that God of War just gave players for free? They charging you $10 for what is essentially a patch and you think that's great for you as a consumer?

Let's not forget that what they call factions was a mutliplayer mode that came with TLOU1. They took that out of 2 to attempt to make it a separate thing. Handling of that by Sony and ND was a complete failure as it gets cancelled, when it should've packaged as an add on that would be worth charging people for

It’s not essentially a patch… they expanded the campaign too with new levels lol, on top of just remastering it. It’s a lot more than the new mode in the god of war dlc

Rockstar is greedy that's nothing new, but so is ND, they are absolutely a dev that values profit over being consumer friendly.

CDPR, Lorian, Santa Monica, others all have provided updates to their games for free and they were just as content packed if not far more content packed than what Naughty Dog is doing.

Santa Monica didn’t even remaster god of war for ps5, the only patch they released was a free one that made it 60fps

Lorain released Bg3 with act 3 being mostly broken

CDPR had been continuing the motto of releasing patches and extras since Witcher 3, maybe even Witcher 2 idk I never played that one so can't speak for it. They continued that same motto with Cyberpunk, where they said they would do that before the game even launched. The game itself being a disaster on launch is besides the point.

Not remastering the game is fine, you rather they charge you for it instead like ND?

BG3 is a giant RPG that had some bugs which they fixed. They add hours of new extra content a few months after full release and it worked perfectly fine with old saves and what not. Lorian continued to release new updates and content for Divinity 2 years after it's release.

Another Sony studio, Returnal dropped a free update that added co-op and a mode for free too just last year. That's just as good as what TLOU2 is adding, yet ND isn't giving that to consumers for free.

Meanwhile you're trying to argue ND isn't greedy for charging for levels that they had already developed, updated graphics, and a roguelike mode. When we've seen many games give similar updates for FREE.

When they claimed they rebuilt TLOU1 from the ground up yet all the bugs from the original were in the game.

The scam of that being putting a $70 price tag on a inferior version that's removed the multiplayer and is just some motion capture, improved graphics, and better AI.

When Geoff said during the first showing of TLOU1 "The Last of Us combat but back in the last of us 1."

This b**** Neil Druckman added on to it talking about "the whole new animation system we applied to this" instead giving correct information. Cuz ya can't prone in TLOU1, you can't dodge in TLOU1, that ain't TLOU2 gameplay that's in TLOU1.

This is actually true and the gameplay is much smoother. Can go from running to grabbing to throwing and aiming and shooting in one swoop instead of having to stop for each action like the original. He just chose not to clarify Geoff’s claim. Which I agree he should have, but whatever. It is not tlou2 gameplay but it is all of tlou2’s animation systems which enhance it. Neil didn’t lie here, he just didn’t clarify. (Bad or or shady pr you can have that opinion and I’ll agree, but lie? Not really)

And the first one. Idek depends what your term of from the ground up means. If it means FF7R type or demons souls. Cause tlou1 remake is a demon souls remake. Where technically it is from the ground up. New engine, new textures, new animations, etc etc. but lots of the code remains the same as it wants to stay true to the original + honestly it’s just cost efficient to do that and has little downside. That can lead to bugs and stuff being the same (same s*** with demons souls)

But imo a remake like that IS a “from the ground up” remake. And I consider FF7R a “reimagining” instead of a remake. But overall if that’s a lie or not depends on your definition of from the ground up. So I’ll give you that if you don’t think it’s a proper remake

Also the remake isn’t the inferior version. It is FAR AND BEYOND the best way to play the game. Unless you mean inferior cause no MP (Smfh f*** naughty dog for that)
