Well by the time the PS5 Pro is out so will it be 4-5 years since the PS5 got released which is enough time for those games to fully utilize the PS5 or be very close to doing that... So expect this to happen again once the PS6 drops in 2027 or 2028. Which should mean a PS6 Pro dropping in 2031 or 2032

Yeah I think it’s online only. 32 v 32. It’s like multi stage games. “Burn the huts” then they try to defend, if you can burn them then it says like “break down the castle walls” etc etc.

not for everyone but I loved it. If you liked bioshock, dishonored, prey(2016) you’ll probably love it too.

Seems like Sony wants the PS brand to be on the cutting edge at all times and wants PS5 to be a premium product,even yrs into the generation.

Im assuming when PS5 Pro drops,games coming to PS4 will stop. It'll only be PS5/PS5 Pro

Yeah and especially since their games is on PC as well so they don't want their games to look old compared to how it's on PC as PC technology keeps evolving and Sony can't keep having the same console on the market for 6-8 years without it becoming a bad thing plus the PS4 Pro had some decent sale numbers... So why not?

I won't be surprised if around the time the PS6 or PS7 is out so will there even be a "Ultra" version of the console besides the "Pro" version and then so will they maybe first release the PS7/PS7 Pro and then a PS7 Ultra 3-4 years later or maybe a little bit earlier than that so 2-3 years later and maybe then shorten the lifespan of the console or release another PS7 with better specifications and then maybe prolong the lifespan of the PS7 so a PS8 isn't out before 9-10 years later after PS7's release.

And well since I am personally really into the latest and greatest so don't I mind it personally and will save money for it and pick which ever version of the console I think would be the right one to get now and then later on

@rami Well prepare yourself for more then lol... I think a "Ultra" version of the PlayStation consoles will be made at some point which I think it'll be around the time the PS6, PS7 or PS8 is out or whatever Sony choices to do in the next 5-10 years from now. But I know what you mean though but since Sony's games are on PC now as well and they're doing the whole E-Sports/FGC thing, InZone gaming monitors/headsets, DualSense Edge controller etc. so shouldn't anything surprise from now on. Therefore so will I just keep saving money and just get what I feel is good and worth it tbh

Ultra console would be overkill lol,they'd lose so many PS fans if they did that. I'd rather them have the balls to release a $1k console from the jump,and they'd still lose the high end audience cause that crowd would probably just go ahead and make the jump to PC. I don't mind PS wanting to keep the PS brand premium but I think they have to market that PS5 pro carefully and we need significant improvements over PS5 to justify it existing.

Microsoft would probably ruin themselves if they released a Pro and told their customers theres three tiers to being an Xbox owner. Theres so many people who still do not have a PS5 and Sony needs to avoid telling those people who don't have one yet that thir "inferior". But honestly,I'd love to have the option to have all games 4k/60 with no oompromises.

I think yes a "Ultra" version right now will do that... But them preparing everybody for it over time should make it normal and not make 50 % or more of the PlayStation costumers/fans switch to PC as the marketing, pricing and well the overall stuff about it should play a role in if this will be successful thing or be like the PS3 situation or even worse... But the enthusiast/technology guy in me won't mind this as the whole PlayStation OS and how stuff is on the PlayStation consoles is something I love and I think it'll push Xbox/Nintendo to do better which I think will be a win-win that might take many years but I think it'll be worth it

But I think it would piss people off at the start but with time so will it be normal and so will Sony etc. find the right way to make it make sense and not make everybody be upset about it... It's just like what you said about it been a significant enough jump/improvement over the OG/vanilla version of the console and it not been overpriced and then well I think it'll be a good thing that might even bring some of the people who game exclusively on PC to jump to the PlayStation platform and then play on it and invest time/money on it

I kinda like the idea of Playstation having an Iphone like ecosystem. AT the same time,it opens up the market for Microsoft and even Apple to say f*** it,if serious gamers are willing to pay and upgrade their $500-$600 console every 2-3 yrs,why can't we just blow this consumers mind with something incredibly far ahead at 1K or maybe even more. If the PC crowd jumps ship to console,their willing to spend that kinda money.

I honestly want someone to make a very high end console,but I don't want it to mimic the Iphone strategy,I want something that really challenges the status quo. Its gonna be interesting to see where the PS5 Pro and PS6 takes PS cause this strategy opens up a new market for Sony.

But it also helps competitors see an opportunity to attack and experiment imo.

Yeah I think iPhone is very successful at this point and is doing very well selling the 3 versions (Or more) of every new iPhone and then an upgraded "S" or whatever version of it later on before the next iPhone is out and then what for example Nvidia does with their GPU's where it's a new one every 2 years where the difference is seen and felt so I don't of course think a new and upgraded version of a PlayStation console for example every year will be a good idea so a new one every 2-3 years is fine if you ask me... But dunno for how long it'll keep been this way before PlayStation (Sony) starts going the PC route and makes the hardware like PC so everybody can get the parts they wish to get instead of buying a new console every 2-3 years.

But I think it will have to be done differently as optimizing games for a lot of different GPU's, CPU's, RAM speeds, NVME M.2 SSD's/regular SSD's etc. can be difficult and lead to issues that PC gamers are frustrated about and that shouldn't go and become part of how it's to game on a console too... Not that console gaming doesn't have its own issues but gaming as a whole needs less of that if possible. So I want Sony etc. to take their time and do it right but I am personally looking forward to it whenever it happens!

Also once again I hope it's done right and the end result is something good for everybody without ruining anything of what we gamers love and want to keep been there and not add anything negative to the overall experience and stuff we want and expect from Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft etc.
