They're quality games but I'm not a super fan of the series or realistic and grounded experiences in general, I prefer games with fantasy or Sci Fi elements where devs have more freedom to experiment and do cool things

there is no way they are doing a new ip where they experiment but I get you and agree. I think they most likely do last of us 3 and sony uses all these free to play projects to experiment then when they fail they say "well that didn't work back to what we know ". I hope to be wrong though. Like Horizon didn't fully knock it out of the park for them and that is more fantasy scifi but the theme and hook itself people do like idea of. Rumor of remake and multiplayer horizon is the furthest I see sony going that direction.

I just mean I'd rather use magic or advanced technology rather than shooting an AK for the 100th time. They haven't done a non-realistic world in almost 2 decades so I just want them to get back to something that lets them be more creative

With Naughty Dog I don't see them being free and based on hints so far see Last of Us 3 announced before end of this year or early next. I could be wrong though
